Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

I've had my 5 thread Singer QuantumLock for about 2 years now but I'm just now using it for more than just finishing edges. I have trouble with inside curves, can anyone make suggestions?  Thx.

When I do inside curves, I try and manipulate the fabric to make the curve as straight as I can, while serging very slowly.

I find that straightening the curve as much as possible makes the job easier.  It prevents the knife from cutting into the curve before the needles reach the same spot as the knife.
