Hi Donna
My BabyLock Evolve aka Ev, has been around for 8 years (older than yours!) and I have never had a problem. I use her alot. I use my serger about 65% and my sewing machine 35% of the time. I LOVE the jet-air threading. I would NEVER consider another machine!

hi Jane,

I agree with you totally, I had a bernina 334ds it was a 3/4 thread machine.
if I leave it for awhile and not use it, I had to always mess with the tensions.
Not my evolve, it just goes with no adjustments. its a keeper.
I wouldn't want any other brand but my evolve BL.

The one with the wave would be cool, someday!!'

Hi Donna
I have heard the wave is a good machine too! Any new machine I would ever need I would seriously consider Babylock. I don't do the Embroidery thing but if I did I would seriously consider Babylock.. I am more that pleased with Ev (my old 3 spool serger, caused me tons of tensions stress!), Baby Lock is well worth the money...that old saying...you get what you pay for! LOL

Yes! babylock is the eastiest to operate, I have a Bernina 730 its also a combo machine. I love alot of different features but far as placement exactly the area its a little harder but I only had this one since march.
My Ellegante is so much easier thats the one I turn to first. I like haveing the BL for embroidering and the bernina for sewing when using both at the same time.
Now I'm making a baby quilt, so when finishing one row I can sew while the other is embroidering.
Plus I have my BL evolve. I heard that BL makes great sergers than other companys. I agree since I had another brand and it was a pain to thread and the tension I had to mess with before serging.

When I am in the need for new machines (other than my serger) my top piority is to look at and take for a test drive, are the BabyLock products. I have not heard a single negative about any of their products!

I have the old Ellure with the built in Noah's Ark embroidery designs. I would like to upgrade to the Ellegante someday when I hit that lottery!
But in the meantime, I love the Ellure.
