Anybody used the side cutter foot? I have a Duetta  which I have had for almost 2 years and have never used it. Tell me about it

I am thrilled to join a group of Brother users.  I formerly had a Viking Designer I and recently sold it and purchased the Quattro 6000.  What a beautiful machine and capable of so much.  The key is to master all its capabilities.  I would love to hear from others with this machine with their feedback and creative advice.  I live in Dallas for part of the year and am looking for a good group to join there.  I also am in Coronado a portion of the year and have been driving up to Sewing Machines Plus in San Marcos for lessons.  I have learned a lot about the nuances of the machine.  I look forward to being a part of this group.  I love machine embroidery, quilting and would like to get back into sewing some clothes.

Comment by JoAnn Scott...Brother HE-240 which has the USB port: I have the same machine and I just download designs to my hard drive (I have a SD card that is only for Embroidery) and then I plug in my sewing machine using the USB cable that came with it and drag and drop the design from my computer to the sewing machine. Hope this helps.

I have one left from when I had my store. The plastic wrapper may be torn, but other wise it is fine.

Hi everyone! I'm looking for Brother Memory card #45. Does anyone know where I can find one? Thanks
JoAnn Scott Comment by JoAnn Scott on January 12, 2010 at 10:50am
I need some clarification on the Brother HE-240 which has the USB port. Can I download designs and transfer to the sewing/embroidery machine without the software? Or do I have to purchase the software in order to download designs from my computer to the machine? Please help me to understand before I purchase the software.

This video demonstrates how to fix / adjust / repair the timing of the hook on a sewing machine. If the thread from your needle isn't getting caught by the hook that rotates around, this video explains what to adjust to fix that. Requires some very basic tools and takes 15-30 minutes - maybe less.
