Hi, I have a Brother Galaxy 2 and a Brother Galaxy 3000. I use the ped basic with both machines with great success.

You install the program on your computer then import the embroidery designs into the ped program. Click on the design you want and click on the arrow button to put it over onto the right side of the screen.

When you've selected the designs you want, go down to the bottom of the page and click on "write to card". The prompt will tell you that everything on the card will be deleted, say OK then it will write the selected designs to your card.

Put the card into your machine and sew away.

Lovely.

I have the brother ult2003 and now have vista on this hp. I tried downloading from the brother sight. However I had a stick that I used on a windows xp and I can't transfer any of those designs on the vista. So do you have any ideas or is there some tutorial that i can see. I am visual person. If you take me step by step I will will try it, email me and let me know. If there are any other suggestions from anyone let me know. I've been struggling with this for a while now. I get frustrated and then try again. I've been told not to give up and from what I understand people still like using the ped basic. I was thinking about purchasing the vikant.
I just received my software andI had it up and running in a matter of minutes. I love it.
