how is Sew for it regarding garment fabric? knits etc? I'm thinking of heading out there tomorrow.

Sorry Jeanette, I didn't see your post until just now. Did you make it to Sew For It? I don't really pay attention to the garment fabric as I'm usually looking at the quilting cottons. What was your take on what they had? Just curious...

fair, they did have some nice knits (I got a deep wine red slinky I'm going to make a vogue Guy Laroche dress out of) Thomas the Tank Engine :-) fabric and lots of notions, I'm such a notion junkie I'm got myself a ring thimble, my next fabric trek (next week I think) will be to check out Rockland Textiles but it will take me about 30-45 mn to get there from the wilds of Stittsville.

I can relate to notion junkie...LOL You should see the quilting notions I have. Rockland Textiles on Kaladar Ave. I've been there a couple of times but just for quiilting cottons. Hope your shopping trip is a big success.

When I'm in Vancouver I love to go to Dress Sew. Are you near enough to it?

I love to shop for fabric at the Indian fabric stores, as well as Needleworks here in Calgary. Well, mostly I buy patterns at Needleworks since they are the only place here to sell all of the Kwik Sew line. I go to Fabricland in a pinch but it's not my favorite place to shop.
