Hi Tawny B, !
look in the group posts list and use Wisperingdragon's link to dollmaker.nunodoll.com.
There are some cute free patterns on that site and all have directions and pictures. There is a really cute baby doll that you might like and a sweet kitty pattern for a simple stuffed toy made from terry toweling.
I also googled 'free cloth doll patterns' and got a bunch of possibilites for really simple 2 piece doll patterns so you'd have no limbs to sew on .
Good luck; once you start with dolls and stuffed critters it's hard to stop! Sure is good therapy for dreary winter days.

I just joined this group to ask anyone if they would like to purchase some doll patterns that I have some are used snd some are new. I am moving and downsizing so I have to re-organize my stuff, I have 5 patterns by Julie McCullough, 3 patterns from "off the floor", 5 of Elinor Peace Bailey, and 5 misc. They are $4.00 each, If interested I can e-mail you a picture of the patterns. Joy

I'm thinking about making a doll for my newest little "doll". I've never made one before, but my mom could make the most detailed, beautiful dolls. Any suggestions/ideas for a relatively easy doll for a baby? I know that I want it to be soft, and have everything sewn down because my little girl is a chewer (teething), but I don't even know what size, characteristics I should have?

I Love her she's so Sweet! I had a life sized-one made for me when I was little and being a typical kid i left her outside and the neighbor's dog got her and chewed her up! I miss her now and my 2 girls want me to make them one. Did you have a pattern or did you free-hand her?
GiftedGrandma Comment by GiftedGrandma on December 13, 2009 at 11:08am

She is adorable. Thanks for posting her, I love to see what everyone is doing. A lot of us have been busy getting ready for the holidays and haven't had the time to visit the site. Super job on Sarah.
