Thanks Tawny B. and Donna. Your information has been a great help and now I can spend the next week launching my business.
Donna Comment by Donna on April 23, 2010 at 9:49am
Hi Vee... I opened my Facebook as a personal & just added my fan page as my business. That way people can become either a Friend or Fan. I don't know if this is the correct way to go about it, but it seems to be working for me.

I would just keep posting relevant and engaging posts on your fanpage. Then share it out on forums like these (I think there is a fanpage thread somewhere on here). Share the url on your blog. Go to the Etsy forums and share it on there. Post the url on your Etsy profile description. Connect it to your Twitter. There are tons of ways to get the word out about your fanpage which will lead to your Etsy shop. Although it can suck up a lot of time.

I have a personal account for my friends and family and a business fanpage and it's working out OK so far.

I need to know should I have one facebook account for my business and another personal facebook account? Currentlly I have a facebook account with a business fan page but how do I draw people to my fan page? This is confusing.
jodijean Comment by jodijean on April 20, 2010 at 9:58am
@vee ... you can have as many etsy accounts as you like. and good for you for trying to do it right. i know too many sellers on etsy who don't even HAVE business licenses!
Vee Comment by Vee on April 20, 2010 at 3:31am
Can I have a business facebook account without having an individual account? If so, how do I get rid of my individual account?
Nicolette MacCallum Comment by Nicolette MacCallum on April 19, 2010 at 2:15am
Hi Vee. You cannot change the name of your etsy shop. Your etsy shop name does not necesarily have to be the same as your license name, though. So, you can either open a new shop on Etsy, or just use the name you have.
Vee Comment by Vee on April 19, 2010 at 12:49am
I need information for otherstanding. I have a business license that I used to sell my personal sewing items and items I purchase from New York wholesale. Now can I open up a store using my business license name but only sell the items I handmake. Because if that is true now I must change my esty store to reflect my business license name. Please assist me. This means I will have to change my facebook account also.

This video demonstrates how to fix / adjust / repair the timing of the hook on a sewing machine. If the thread from your needle isn't getting caught by the hook that rotates around, this video explains what to adjust to fix that. Requires some very basic tools and takes 15-30 minutes - maybe less.
