I need to find a place where I can get the standard measurements for children's sizes. Any thoughts? I've googled and just come up with all random things. I'm having a hard time because I've got some patterns I've tweaked for pants that are basically sizes 4t, 5t, etc. The pattern sizes are different (like a size 1 is really a 2T) and then as I said I've tweaked it to add ruffles, etc to the bottom so I need to just know what a standard length should be for my size 4, 5, etc. Any insight would be MUCH appreiated!

Your link was very useful, although I don't sew for children I found your informaiton very helpful.
In the past I have looked at size charts for online stores, like old navy and gap. And then realized that I could just purchase the real thing and keep with ideas for that size very cheaply at yard sales. I now have a whole tote full of ready-to-wear clothes in the sizes for all my nieces, I just donate what I dont need anymore. This way, I can tell when legs are too wide, or waist bands are too tight, etc. I have something to compare to that is standard sized all over, not just hip/waist/bust and inseam measurements. I hope this helps!!
