Hi,
I have a Husqvarna viking saphire 875 quilt. And I have some problems with it.
When I want to sew I get the message "take away the threads under your plate" but there is nothing to take away. I cleaned it 3 times and still got the message that I have to clean under my needle plate.
Sometimes when I push on the ok button the knife that is under this plate rattles and then I get this message again.
Do I do something wrong or is there something wrong with my machine? Are there other members on this forum who has the same problem with there machine?
Another problem that I have is, when I start sewing, that the machine pulls the upperthread to the underside in big knots. My seam is than very bad and I have to pull evrything out and start again. Then I also take out both the bobbins and start all over again. Efter that it sometimes goes well and sometimes I have to do the whole procedure again.
Recognize this? Please let me know how You solved these problems?!?

That way they can not go under and you will not get "bird nest" , and then that should stop the error message. When you finish your seam take a scrap of fabric and sew onto that with out cutting your thread from previous sewing. This is called chain peicing .. clip your real sewing off of that and leave the scrap attatched to the machine. Place your real sewing infront of that and continue to sew your project, every time you come to the end of your sewing reattach that peice. will save thread and will save messy threads.
As for thread under plate check around your bobbin pin sometimes thread get stuck way in the back around that, shine a bright light and see if there isn't more thread back there. ]
I hope this helps good luck in your sewing

I always hold the thread when I start to sew But sometimes my machine is so stark that the thread pulls into it. I have had a husqvarna prisma a few years ago and this one had the same problem. But you would think that a machine with this price (about 2400 dollar) should have a better quality than the last one.
Nevertheless it is a good tip from you to sew chain piecing I will start with it as soon my machine is okay again.
I wrote an e-mail to my sewmachine supplier and he told me to come and visit the store tomorow. It is only one hour driving from here. And my machine is still under warranty (is that the right way to call it when you get free repairs because the product is less than 2 years old? )
I hope he can fix it. I 'll let ou know what he did to fix it.
greetings
Yvonne.
