This is an example why I tell folks not to buy viking. They discontinue support for programs and parts of models with little warning and leave you high and dry. I have a designer 2 and a 936. I needed help with the 936 and was told they don't make them any more. Mine is only 5 years old. Cost $1500. What happened to machines that last forever. Pat

I have a Designer 2 and had some problems and had they sent my machine to 3 different repair people they use and the last one replaced the head and it is great now- I feel it is just like new.  I love my Viking -

My viking works fine also. But when the personnel d-cards  or hoops  or other parts die or break who will replace them? I usr my designer 11 primarily to embroider and have a Singer heirloom [inexpensive] machine for other sewin. If my personnel design cards broke and couldn't be replaced it would not embroider and I own hundreds of designs. I had a question about my 3-D program after 4-D came out and was told they weren't answering questions about 3-D anymore. Would I like to trade it in on the new. for a couple of thousand dollars.I am only saying that the company-not the dealers- are not customer oriented in my opinion and experience.
