Am I using the wrong key word search, or is there just no patterns out there for going to the gym? I have found one or two on a couple of sites, I've looked at all the common pattern sites (Butterick, McCall's, Vogue, KwikSew) but more for the baggy sweatpant type of thing. I'm looking for fitted stuff I can wear to Curves (I love it there, incidentally, private message me if you have any questions about it). I have a serger, so I'm not afraid of using Lycra-containing stuff!

Would somebody out there with better pattern-search-fu tell me how I should be searching?

Of course you know, as soon as I typed that, I checked Kwik Sew again, and got several hits. I like this one. Problem is KwikSew doesn't let you search by keywords, so I didn't know where to look! But I got it linked by another site (SewingPatterns.com) and got it that way. I sure-as-heck won't be wearing the short-shorts, but I like the long pants, and the tanks too. The largest size comes in juuuuuust-big-enough for my oversized bust (and trust me, that is NOT a boast!), I like tanks.
But, if you have sewn exercise wear in the past, and have a pattern you like, please tell me about it!

I was just about to suggest Kwik Sew. I have used a couple of their patterns for belly dance wear (with some alteration, of course - they need glitter and flair). I will check my patterns to see which #s are my favorites. And, Incidentally, I can relate to the over-sized bust issue. You should check out the book Fitting Finesse By Nancy Zieman (did I get that name right? don't have it in front of me). I makes altering patterns for fit a breeze!

Have you tried the Kwik Sew patterns. I am pretty sure they have exercise wear patterns.

Sorry, I can't seem to go back and edit. I didn't see someone had already suggested Kwik Sew. : (

Try Jalie, Jalie.com
it's a canadian company with unique sizing but usually ALL sizes come in one pattern (kids to adult) and they have lots of workout gear, sporty patterns.
