Hi! I need some consumer advice. I am a dressmaker who uses fine to medium weight fabrics. I love working with industrial machines, but now that I work at home I have to downsize and get a home machine. Can anyone suggest a machine that will fit my needs?

Thanks!

Hi KT, I have two Janome's the 9000 and the Sew Precise and love them both. The Jamome machines in my opinion are work horses in the sewing machine world. Their stitch are very professional and are smooth to operate. I bought a new embroidery machine to replace my Janome 9000 because I wanted to bigger sewing field and now I use the 9000 strickly for my sewing. I wouldn't trade my Janome for anything.

Why not test drive a few before deciding. Hope I helped.

I have a Bernina 160, it does well with fine fabrics if it has just been freshly cleaned ;-) but it is no longer availible (is about 7 years old) but most of any the high end machines of the big brands (bernina, janome, pfaff, viking, brother ) will serve you well
