Gee I know I am late, but when last posted I believe I was in the lay-a-way phase.  I now have my Janome Horizon.  I said i was going to have it out before Christmas.  She arrived Sept.6th and I took a picture of her put put her on my blog: sewforreal-mamafiore.blogspot.com cause I couldn't believe I had actually saved for this machine.  Now that she is home........we are in the bonding phase.  I will probably get in full gear during the coldest months here in Minnesota. It's a great machine. I am happy I brought it and I am not looking back.

I am on Janome #2.  My first Janome 8000 never has wore out....it's just resting a while.  As a retirement gift to myself, I purchased the 11000SE which has more features and boy am I loving it!  The 8000 came out in the 80's and works with the embroidery cards.  The new one allows me to go crazy with pattern downloads.

I hope to meet new friends too and enjoy talking the talk with other folks that enjoy the craft!  ~  Robin

Another new Janome for me to drool over.  My MC9500 (which I call the low end of the high end machines) is going strong.  I sew just about 6 hrs a day 4 to 5 days a week so it gets a work out and never complains.  Can't ask for any more than that.

I have been using my janome memorycraft for about 6 years and never had any problems with it.  Love, love, love it.  I am a new member of this group so I hope I will make new friends that have the same passion for sewing that I do.

I just put a deposit on a Janome 2160. My husband wanted to get one for my birthday. Tried the basic line from Bernina. Cost the same as my old machine but did not have any updated stitching. Test drove the Janome this morning and I think that this one is my upgrade.

Thanks Melanie...there did not seem to be much difference.
Sewing machine co's should stop changing them so often.

This video demonstrates how to fix / adjust / repair the timing of the hook on a sewing machine. If the thread from your needle isn't getting caught by the hook that rotates around, this video explains what to adjust to fix that. Requires some very basic tools and takes 15-30 minutes - maybe less.
