Comment by Ani on March 16, 2012 at 9:45pm: Hi all - I purchased a Juki HZL 400 EXCEED a few days ago, had been sewing on a 20 yr old Pfaff, I LOVE my new Juki! =) Sews so very well on any fabric I've tested, the buttonholes are wonderful as are the deco stitches. The best thing is the foot pedal thread cutter, didn't think I'd like it but now I wonder how I lived without it! Anyone else here with an EXCEED? They make 300/400/600 models.

Comment by Mesewlot on November 30, 2011 at 7:58am: Susan, I love my DDL! It's worked very well for me. I've had it about 10 years, and I've only had it serviced a few times. Probably a good idea to have it serviced much more often, but it's still doing very well. I highly recommend it, especially if you do a lot of custom sewing or tailoring, or just a lot of straight stitch sewing in general.

Comment by Emmy1 on May 18, 2009 at 2:22pm: I have a Juki serger, which I purchased about 10 to 15 years ago, just after differential feeds came out. Mine was the newest model at the time, and had the differential feed. I love my serger and use it for everything except sewing on fleece.

I'd love to buy a newer serger with the cover stitch, air threading, and other features some day, but will keep my old one and set it up for rolled hems, to speed up the sewing process.

I used to work in a blouse factory and I sewed collars on a Juki, I have always wanted a commercial machine, but I don't have the space. This is the closest to a commercial machine and is portable and quiet. Love, love it.
