How to make a fleece tote bag - by 2 young girl scouts 5 Replies

I was wondering what to do with all the fleece I have left over from making my Bed Jacket and Dressing Gown, and idly put 'fleece bag' into the You Tube search box.  Up came this video by 2 young Girl Scouts, which I think is very well made.  The only change I would make is putting an applique picture on the front as it is rather plain - but my fleece fabric isn't!Well done Kirsten and Torrey! Zips and Bags - I think I am cured of my zipperphobia! 1 Reply

I recently went to a class and made a purse from a 5 1/2 yard zipper coiland ribbon. It came out kind of cute. I am trying to upload a picture of it.

I love purses and I am trying to come up with an idea for myself that is a big bag but not heavy. I like to carry everything with me. I love cloth bags and not leather but strong. Everytime I make a bag and carry it myself someone admires it and I end up giving it to them.

I do the same thing. I end giving away the things I like best because some one else likes it too.

I like to make things for myself (or friends and family) as experimental new designs. I drag them around and abuse them and see what happens, it's a great way to learn what works and what doesn't.

My daughter did the beadwork on this bag. Then she sent it to me to put it together for her. It was her first attempt at sewing beads on fabric. She did a great job. I finished the bag and sent it back to her.

Me too!! Seems like the purses I make that I really love my friends or family love too and talk me into giving it to them. Like this one I call Country Chic.
