Anyone know an easy pattern to follow for bloomers? (the ones that barely cover the diaper-not the pants)

Does anyone have any cute infant/toddler boy patterns?
jodijean Comment by jodijean on September 8, 2009 at 3:44pm
@erika and rosalie ... there are exceptions i would read up more on the cspia laws ... here are some good links for you.

http://www.textileaffairs.com/lguide.htm
http://www.cpsc.gov/about/cpsia/smbus/cpsiasbguide.html
page 8 of this guide lists all the materials that are exempt "Dyed or undyed textiles (cotton, wool, hemp, nylon, etc.), including children’s fabric products, such as baby blankets, and non‐metallic thread and trim. This does not include products that have rhinestones or other ornaments that may contain lead or that have fasteners with possible lead content (such as buttons, metal snaps, zippers or grommets)."
http://www.cpsc.gov/about/cpsia/sect103policy.pdf -- information on required labels and tags

so the ribbon would be exempt but you need to make sure you have the certificates for the metal clips. also make sure you know that new tagging laws. i know for hairclips it's okay to have it on the card/packaging since it would damage the hairbows themselves to be labeled.

hopefully that helps. let me know if you have anymore questions.

I just got back into sewing and I've started to sew for my kids. I'm fairly new to the craft so I'll be needing help. Thanks for having such a group available.
