I'm hoping that someone has already made this and knows what to do. I'm a novice and I really wanted to make this cute little dress for my daughter. But I don't understand how the two front pieces are to go together. The top part has a straight bottom where you need to sew, the bottom skirt portion is curved. Am I supposed to sew the top piece along the curve of the bottom or what? I am confused!

Here is a link to the pattern instructions.

That is so cool. turned out really nice!! A lucky toddler is going to be stylin' There's so much you can do to give old garments new life.
Keep us posted when you try again I'd love to see your photos.
Cute jumper! Don't give up on the other dress. I have been sewing for 30 plus years. A few months back while making a butterfly quilt I got to know my seam ripper again, the pcs were so much alike and laid out where they happened to get moved around and needless to say I put it together wrong. It all came together after ripping it apart more than once, fortunately I haven't done that in years. I like the t-shirt refashioning, I have 30 or 40 of them that need to do more than just hang in my closet.
Sorry I was so late reading your request. The jumper is adorable!
Is there a pattern name and number? Please send and I will be more than happy to help you.
the pattern and instructions are in a link in the first post of this thread ... but here it is again ...
