Does anyone have photos of their pets in something they've sewn? They as in you, not your pet *laugh*
(I'm sorry these are enormous pictures!)
Here are two of our pets. Gidget is our Chihuahua and this was a little jacket I made for her out of an old corduroy shirt sleeve. The other was a sleeve from a sweatshirt that I sewed a patch on. That was 5 years ago when she was tiny & nice!
The Guinea Pig is Chloe and these are two beds I made for her. The striped one was a fleece, old navy scarf I found at a charity shop. The pink flowery one was made from a Pottery Barn pillowcase that I also found at a charity shop!
We also have one other guinea pig and two betta fish.

What clever ideas. I would never have thought to make a bed for the guinea pig.
I just figured out we can reply right here in the group to each one so I'm replying again *L* I didn't think of the beds on my own either. Had I not seen it on youtube, I would have been totally in the dark about piggie stuff.
That little green coat is cute as is the chi. I like the guinnea pig bed, humm thoughts of xmas gifts for sister in law.
Thanks : ) I never would have thought of a bed for them either had I not heard of it. They're so nice when you're holding them. They love to cuddle inside to get rubbed & spoiled. We love our piggies...and our Chihuahua even though she's as strange as the day is long.
Those are the cutest little beds I've ever seen! I made a similar one for my JRT, but not nearly so stylish. If I make another one, I'm going to "borrow" your ideas! :-)
Do we get to see a picture of your jack Russell??
pictures will not open getting a out of memory code
I love the piggie's beds. It is a great idea!

Attached are pictures of a C-mas stocking I machine embroidered for my dog Dingo. He is a rescue and is a bit paranoid, so he won't wear clothes. Our bed is his bed, or so he thinks, so making one is out of the question. At least he likes the stocking and the gifts that fill it.

Gracie, that stocking is amazing...it looks JUST like him! How did you do that?? You must have a smart machine you can upload a photo too or something?? That was the coolest thing!!
Dingo looks like he's ready to dig in to whatever's in the stocking too! What a cutie. How old is Dingo?
p.s. I figured out how to make my pics come up in the post. I had been attaching mine too then I looked up in the post box and there's a camera icon right next to the hyperlink symbol. If you do that then everyone can see your pictures without clicking attachments.
Birdie,

Thanks for your kind comments about Dingo and his stocking, as well as the tip on posting pictures. I had the picture of Dingo and posted on one of my Yahoo embroidery groups that I'd love to make a personalized stocking for our furbaby. A digitizer in the UK offered to make the design into one that my embroidery machine could understand to stitch out the picture. The neatest thing is that she did it for me for free! I can't begin to digitize designs myself, but it would be great if I could just scan the picture and load it into my sewing machine.

Dingo is now six years old. We adopted him from a no-kill rescue shelter near Cincinnati when he was nine months old and brought him the 500 miles home, shaking and panting the whole way. He had so many problems from being mistreated and not socialized, but now he's become the favorite dog in the neighborhood. Eating is his favorite thing to do. 8-)
Locw it, I have been looking for a way to put a picture of my dog Laszlo who was hit by a car on a t shirt This is great, thank you for sharing.
OMG these are adorable!!!! I had g-pigs years ago - back in the 80's they were a bit too nocturnal but soo sweet! I didn't make beds for them, but this is a great idea - mine ate everything they got hold of - including a nice wool afghan...
