Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

Just before fusing interfacing to fabric, roll an adhesive lint remover (or tape)  lightly over the side of the fabric to be fused.  It will prevent raveled threads and tiny clippings from getting fused between the fabric and the interfacing, which would appear on the right side of your finished garment as little lumps and lines.  = "ugly"

I use a lint roller when I take stitching out. It saves a lot of cussing especially when my arthritis is acting up. I also use it to clean ME off when I'm leaving my sewing area.
