I have been working on woolen bonnets for living history events. I am looking for patterns or pictures of woolen or knitted crochet bonnets that will actually be warm as well as attractive. I've attached a picture of one I reproduced by looking at a Godey's picture. I would like to find some period pictures of actual woolen winter bonnets for the 1800s. Can anyone help me.
thanks
Ann

Good morning, Ann -

I did some searching and found a couple of links for you. Hope they help!

http://www.vintagesewing.info/1920s/25-m/m-toc.html (This is not bonnets; however, it's all about millinery and how to make hats. I thought it might be useful to you and spark some ideas when you do start sewing your bonnets)

Hi, Just thought you might want to know that when I clicked on the Vintage Sewing link it said it couldn't be found.

The other two look like great sites! Thanks for the info :) M<>/p>
