I have seen a bag called an X-bag. It seems to be made from two overlapping triangles. Does anyone know what I mean? Is there a free pattern anywhere?

Joy. this is a really cute and easy bag. Thanks for posting.
That's another really good bag pattern - it's not the X-bag, but it looks good.
I've never seen a free pattern but I did buy the X-Bag pattern a few years ago...but haven't gotten around to making it yet so don't really know how it's made. Here's the pattern I bought.

Yes, that's the one! Maybe I'll see if I can design it for myself when I'm feeling clever. Thanks for finding it.
I was looking around and found a really cute pattern for an X bag like the one you were asking about. Not sure if it is the same as you wanted but maybe someone will give it a try! I know I will be making it myself and when I finish I'll try and post a pic. But for now the website is Pfaff sewing projects. http://www.pfaffusa.com/721.html hope I did that right...
Me again. The purse on Pfaff site is called fat quarter purse. I am still trying to decide on the fabric choices.....
Yes, that's the one! How clever of you to find it. The pfaff website looks pretty interesting generally. The bag is now on my 'to do' list.
Aww ty I decided to just use 2 colors in addition to the contrast rather than 4. We'll see how it goes, but so far I am pretty happy about the choices!!
