Most recent give-away!
This give-away is now closed. Check the rest of the album for a more recent or current give-away!
We will announce the next give-away sometime this weekend! Stay tuned!
oohhhhh all of the wonderful things we would have made with the scrapstash!!! If you are like me you have enough stash to keep us sewing for years! It sounds like many of us are so blessed to have so much and give just as much..It is so very heartwarming to read of what we would create with our stash. I love to create and gift to others in need. See my photos of the dolls and dresses i make for the local women's shelter and victims services, haiti and africa....like Vickey...each little doll hopefully comforts a special little girl. For the boys i make shorts with a side pocket with either a stuffy or a tonka toy (depending on age).....I have so much charity sewing to do and just not enough time to do it all! lol But i am trying my hardest, now if i only didn't have to work for a living! I could spend more time sewing and gifting.
congrats Tink - have fun playing!
This is really neat but after meeting with my quilt group (object is to finish projects, not start new ones!) I would like to see sites advertised that really need fabrics for donated objects that they make i.e. NEW flannel in 1 1/4 yd. lengths for quilts for newborns in NICUs. Also fabrics that are to be used to make pillow cases for children in hospitals in many locations. Many church groups are doing this and can tell you where you can take fabric for these projects.
CONGRATS! Tink, Have fun creating with the fabrics. Show us pictures of what you make.
Glad you Won.
I am really glad I missed this giveaway. If I had won I would have to find someother place to live. No room for me and my crafts. I am teaching my grandchild how to crochet. I told my son (he is the worst about my stash) that it is now in my will that she gets all my yarn. He was not happy.
see the avitar. It is like the dolls I make for kids with cancer and otherwise devestating illness. The doll in the picture is waiting for a child in San Francisco to get her liver transplant and come home. The child is 3 and lives in my town. (Two of the 83 dolls (all but this one) have found homes already. ) I had 92 made so some are stil ready to go out when the needs come in. Usually if it is for a child with cancer, the ACS distributes it. I'd ike to try making a crazy quilt or a real colorful stripped dress or something if I win. ALL the dolls are freely given. I am a 71 year old retired nurse doll skirt and writer, crafter, etc. I have a brother with his 4th cancer and he has maybe a week before the passes. I live in California and he is in Texas. Congratulations to whomever is fortunate to win this package. Vickey Stamps
