Valentine postcards

These are Valentines postcards I make. I use a stiff interfacing for the base, The background fabric is either commercial or cut from clothing. I make the raw edge appliques and fuse them onto the background fabric. Then I quilt around each applique and edge the card with a zigzag stitch. On the back I usually use fabric cut from an old cotton pillowcase that has seen better days.

Marsha--Your Valentines are fantastic. I have made postcards and they are not the easiest to make, that's for sure! Do you make other holiday postcards?

Thanks Gloria,

They are fun and quick to make.

Betty,
Thanks! I am interested in seeing what will speak to me this year to make into a Valentine.

As I am cleaning up and organizing my studio I have come across fabrics that make me think of Valentines Day. Here are several that I have created in the past. They are from 2007-2010.
