Scrappy Tropical Batiks Quilt

Random diamonds created with half-square triangles. I pulled what was left-over from a layer cake I had been saving, and three pieces of Malam batiks from Benartex. I included some paintbrush along the outer edge in purple. A fun, quick, and simple quilt top to piece. Lots of starch!

Colors: aqua, light, royal and navy blue, lavender, purple, tropical greens, and a hint of fuchsia. Think "Bermuda, Bahamas, the Canary Islands.." can you hear the waves?

I used the technique demonstrated in this video from Nancy's Notions, except I did not use the same cutting ruler unfortunately:
