Broken Star

All hand quilted; large wall hanging; started out as a mini but grew after a trip to the fabric shop. Took a first in our local guild show. Scraps from this were used to make the mini Lone Star in my "mini Album" which has trapunto.

No fussy cutting needed. I just chose one major print and pulled the other colors from that. Even all the background is several different shades of beiges.

I love the colors! This design is so intricate. Did you 'fussy cut' your pieces?

Thank you so much. It started out as a mini but grew much larger. It is totally hand quilted. Can't remember how many months I spent working on the quilting alone. Not so sure I'd ever make another as piecing these is time consuming and then you have to block them to size and shape because of all the bias cuts on the pieces.
