Angee, I think Joann's carries it in their store, however their website says it isn't available. I found this online:

Where do you find chalk cloth? I'd love to make something like this for my sponsor child in Albania.

Jodie, This is cute, cute, cute! What a wonderful idea. Like Cora, my grandkids are getting almost past this stage, but this would be a terrific project for craft fairs and bazaars. Thanks for your contribution.

Never saw chalk cloth. My kids and grandkids are too old for that. Shame.
