Here's a close-up of the bodice. The dress was made of green corduroy, and accented with red/green/gold diagonal stripe grosgrain ribbon. The neck is accented with red piping.

Very pretty on your very pretty girl. I love the ribbon accents. After repairing too many purchased children's clothing items that unravelled their chain stitched seams I love home made, even if it looks like it. Your things do not look like it. I love corduroy and flannel for girls dresses. One of my favorite dresses was a fitted dress with circle skirt in a gorgeous flannel. I gained wt. and gave it to a smaller woman. Giving the dress away is final, but wt gain is not.
A dress I made for a granddaughter in flannel with coordinating bloomers was a hit. She said, "This will keep me warm, lets go somewhere, Mom!" Don't have a photo of it but may catch a younger granddaughter in it one day.
