Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

This is a project I'm working on for my cousin he just turned a year old but it's not too early to play with letters, right?
These are perfect for little hands and soft under a parent's feet. When they get dirty, they can jsut throw them in the wash.

Of course I found the fabric at a charity shop!! That's where I find just about everything that I don't want to pay full price for : ) The dotted fabric is part of a high thread count, cotton twin sheet set from JC Penney Home Collection, the backing is part of a brand new fleece throw I found there, that happened to match perfectly. I sandwiched batting in between.
The letter "a" is missing because I stitched it in contrasting, navy thread and I don't like it. Now it has to be ripped out & redone!
Heres' the link for a pattern -

I love this. I would love to make the letters to spell out my childs name and then hang them on their bedroom wall. Let me know if you post instructions or pattern.

These are so adorable and simple and quick, can't wait to start on them. Granddaughter is two in 2 weeks. Perfect.
