Yes Please do let me know. I am realy excitined to start mine but I know I have to be patient and practice first. I did practice today with a small piece and was getting the hang of it but I have to remember not to tense up and practice much, much, much and much more ;-)

Thanks for the compliment. I was pretty happy with it given its my first. I did a lot of baby ones before I attempted this one.

I use You Tube ALOT!  I did free motion on the sashing part. Then traced the stars and banners and did them then did free motion on the outside bigger piece.  I practiced the free motion a lot on scraps of fabric with the scraps of batting first then just took a big breath and started. It has issues but due to the dark colours they are not apparent. Because of this I am now taking a beginners machine quilting class:o)  So far we have cut and sewed and I have the top done. this coming week she is going to show us how to do the actual quilting. So I will let you know what I learn!

LOVE IT!!! I just finished my first one too but not sure how to machine quilt it yet. I need to learn that part before I can sandwich it and finish it off. How did you learn to machine quilt? or is this free hand?
