Congratulations on your door prize win! I have to confess I have that book and haven't made anything from it, yet. I did use the best of sew beautiful christening gowns to make a bubble and detachable skirt christening set. I look forward to seeing your creation posted on this site soon.
HA HA!!....yeah there is always some of that. I learned to let go of the house keeping if I want to be able to get away. I won, as a door prize, Martha's Grandmother's Hope Chest book and pattern. My plan is to get started on one of those gowns this week. I bought everything I needed in their store. I can wait to get started!

Vickie - so glad you got to go to a Martha Pullen retreat! You'll be so inspired when you return home. Hope your family survived okay. Mine still had the same dirty dish rag in the sink as when I left!
I'm on my last day of an Martha Pullen heirloom sewing retreat. It was a short one and within driving distance, so I think my husband survived ok with the kids. I can't wait to make one of these at home!!!!!
Wow, I wish I could go........don't think my husband would survive a week alone with the kids while I go play..........maybe later when they're bigger. =)

Martha Pullen's School of Art Fashion in huntsville, Alabama. If you have never been - it is so much fun. There is nothing more inspiring than spending a whole week with 400-500 women that share your favorite pasion.
