Thank you, Patricia :)
Korean alphabets are very different from Japanese and Chinese. They are actually very basic pronunciation symbols, their characters are described by combination of those. I heard old Koreans used to use some Chinese characters, but young people. We Japanese still use similar or the same Chinese characters, sometimes the meaning of a character is the same. In very old era, Japan was influenced by Chinese a lot. When I see old Japanese culture, I feel it looks like Chinese.
What a colorful way to "hold" the Koran alphabet in mind and heart! Does this alphabet use the same characters as Chinese & Japanese or are they modifications or distinctly Korean?
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful treasure.
