I really wanted to do the Phoebe bag for the longest time.. I guess that's one of the first purse patterns I ever looked up and fell in love with... Of course I was saving her for later... I told myself.. lets sew some things first.. and then we get to making her.. my dream project... I was just in love with the bag...
I thought to myself.. what could be cuter than the cutest bag of all... a tinier version of it...
Is it just me or does everyone think small is cute and chweet...
Must be just me.. so anyhow.. I reduced the patter to 85, 75, 60, 50 and 25... cut them all out... the one with 25% was the cutest... (aint I a little crazy...) And I went for it... again.. I've learnt that I cannot use flimsy fabric, however cute it may look for a bag... if you think that you disagree and the bag looks like its holding its shape pretty well.. think again.. Its stuffed with just the right things to make it look so.. I spent more time on getting a good shot of it than actually making it... LOL
She's tiny and just the right size to stuff my cell phone, lipsticks, chap stick, and a small change purse of a camera case AND something I wouldn't leave home without....
Here's the pattern and tutorial for the Phoebe Bag.... please people.. make some nice one and lets start your own Phoebe bag display.. (or may be its just me that's nuts about the pattern)
Next step... Phoebe Bag reduction - 66% :D
