Monkey Business

I think this might have been some of my late-night work *s*

Well, I can't blame it on that since I spread him out over a week....Really I had never made a head in this shape and didn't take into account that the forehead area was actually that small. It's one of those things that you only notice after it's stuffed unless you're really experienced. Where were the experienced people when I needed them to say "Hey! Give that monkey some more fabric up top!"?

His eyes look a little blank here too but they have a little white reflective mark that you can't see.
I've fixed his pattern just a touch, giving him a little more room upstairs in the forehead area.

He's made of stretch knit. Really nice stretch knit though. The shirt was some brand name shirt that older women use. I was gonna make a babka out of it but I don't have the little kneehigh's yet so I decided leaf print would make a good monkey instead.

Jodie: Thanks so much! I was going for an exaggerated look with the big cheeks. I also have a teddybear to make with this sort of face only his forehead is enormous. I can't wait to see him. I should put my sketches up here as a preview.
