Scrap-buster - Quilted Mosaic Cushion Cover

This is the first time I've tried to stitch a mosaic. I wanted to make the most of these scraps of blue, aqua, purple, mauve, sand, white, and green. This was a good project to sit down and have fun with. It IS full of mistakes but I think it is pretty nonetheless. The background fabric is an unbleached cotton. I used Gutermann cotton thread (which was REALLY nice for this project) in the same French vanilla color. I quilted around each piece of purple, blue, green, etc with a #3 stitch. The cushion cover closes at the back with a simple envelope-style opening. I may add a button and loop to the back.

I'm going to try another using black instead of the unbleached cotton. I LOVE the unbleached cotton, it is beautiful to sew with. I pre-washed it. I just don't have any more :(
