Here is where I got free detailed instructions to make my roman shades. http://www.terrelldesigns.com/index.htm
I wanted to make roman shades for a long time and couldn't find 'parts' necessary so looked online and found this wonderful website. Not only did I find very precise and detailed instructions I also was able to email questions and get prompt clear answers to my questions! And it was free too! I did order 'parts' for my blinds from this company and was very happy with the results. This is my 'test' shade that I made first. If I can find photos of my second set of shades will upload later.
Don't let anyone tell you that they are 'easy', as they do take a lot of work to make although they look so simple. Eventually I wanted to make shades using mechanism from already in place mini blinds. With that too I found online help and then combined new information with old and modified it all to suit my needs. Also will add photos as I find them on the computer!! Happy sewing..........
