Any peasant dress pattern will work. I used a McCalls one.

Great idea! My DH has so many dress shirts that he no longer wears. Can anyone direct me to a pattern for this?

You must have adventure in your soul. I have patterns but haven't done this. How great.

I have been wanting to make one of these. I am gonna try it when I can get to the thrift store to buy a shirt! My hubby doesn't wear button down dressy shirts.

What a great job. I too have wanted to make a girls dress from a mans shirt. Small girl that is. Ideas are a dime a dozen but those who execute them are worth a million.

yes and I know what you mean but on the plus side it took about 30 min:) that is including cutting pattern out...which for me seems to take forever..lol

Is this from a men's dress shirt? I have been wanting to try this for a long time but there just aren't enough hours in a day.
