Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

I made this little girl as a toy drop off. I l loved her personality once she was all done.

I make these out of new, inexpensive socks, add a little note saying that the toy is free, close it up in a gallon ziploc, then drop it off in some public area.

I prefer gas stations because no one will feel like they might be nabbed with thievery *wink* and gas stations are usually full of people! Sometimes I leave them in a restaurant bathroom. It's an easy way to brighten up a person's day...someone who you wouldn't otherwise ever connect with!
I got the idea from The Toy Society. That's a great group you might want to check out! I call mine "Treasure Box Buddies"

LOL Sadie! I know what you mean! Sometimes the smaller the thing is, the harder it is. Now I know why all those tiny crafts cost so much money! Thanks for the sweet comment & as for her name, it was "candy" in honor of her stripes : )

Gosh Birdie!! that is soooooo sweet of you! Love the pup!! Boy what a happy day (or actually a whole happy MONTH if it was me) would it be if you got this cutie!! She's Super adorable..

Did you think of a name for her? or actually each of her sisters? (it'd hard for me to resist naming each one I made... of course they wouldn't be many.... I made one 4 inch doll and felt like shooting myself in the head thirteen times before I was all the way through
