Also, sergers use a LOT more thread than a conventional sewing machine, so we buy those big spools simply for economy. You could use regular spools of thread (I have in a pinch), but they'd run out PDQ.
Glad to read this, I will also be looking for a new serger soon. I was given a White brand serger, and I am going to throw it straight in the garbage. What a piece of junk.
Thanks Cynthia! It's small, the caption reads "How long 'til coconuts?' I've never had a rat, though my sister did. After one gets over the tails, they're adorable!
A 1950-something Kenmore, recently repaired and running like a charm! A Euro-Pro Shark, which sucks. A White serger, which sucks as much as sucking can suck, and possibly more, if possible.
What brands of patterns have you tried?
Kwik-Sew! Great quality paper, clear instructions, reachable customer service if there is any questions.
