I learned to sew and crochet when I was nine. My grammy and I would work on our crochet projects after dinner while watching TV, and when I was growing up, that’s what I expected to do after I got married. Guess what? That’s what I do. I also love to sew, quilt, crazy quilt, and embroider. By day during the school year, I’m an Educational Interpreter (using sign language in school with deaf kiddos). I really love to work with my hands. During the summer, I go to interpreting workshops and stitch as much as possible. I have a blog that’s never updated because I’m too busy doing other things! I also love to teach kids and adults to do what I do, and I think the world would be a happier place if everyone learned to build things.
My sewing interests are:
garment, home decor, quilting, embroidery
My sewing machine(s):
Singer Fashion Mate 237M-A (1960s), Singer Featherweight (1947), White Family Rotary (1923)
I am interested in patterns such as:
Simplicity
