I love crafting, cooking and cookbooks, machine embroidery, crochet, etc. I love too many things! We own a garage in Aiken, SC. We do regular mechanic work but also restore and build vehicles. Our younger son works with us and does the actual restoring. I hold the shop office down. During slow times, when I'm not doing my bookwork and taxes, I bring my machines/projects to keep me out of trouble. I'm also on the computer quite a bit keeping up with my responsibilities of running our car club that several of us started in late 2002. Check out our webpage at www.aikenhorsepower.com Recently I was voted into being on our local Downtown Development Promo Committee. After being invited to a meeting, I made the mistake of saying that I always jump in and work when something needs to be done. That's all it took for everyone to raise their hands for me to be unanimously voted in! I never said I did not open my mouth and put my foot in it!
If you have any cute crafts or project, please share them. I am constantly on the hunt for something quick and cute to make!
My sewing interests are:

I just started using my machine a few months ago. I love it. It a Disney SE-2700. It makes me want to sew. I haven't learned the embroidery yet and I have never used a serger. I as you have a full time project arranging my crafts
Hello, nice to meet you. I've only started sewing, and now every waking minute is devoted to it. My fiancee loves it, he doesn't hear my babbling as much anymore; but not for long. He doesn't know it yet, but he's going to be my dressform (at least until I'm ready to get one). LOL.
How is your serger working out for you? I think I will wait on buying one for myself (just until I'm better at sewing).
Btw, sorry it took me so long to respond. I keep myself busy with quite a few projects =)
Heck no!! Spend all my spare time (and money) on sewing. Best part, my husband totally understands cuz he has the same passion for cars.
Have you tried Burda World of Fashion patterns? I'm sooooo hooked on those. I do no adjustments. They fit like a dream!! Especially the pants. The crotch is cut different from American patterns.
He has a 78 Corvette Pace car convertible, I have a 58 Corvette convertible, we have a 57 Chevy, a 49 chopped Baby Lincoln, a 33 pontiac, all that my husband restored. right now he is working on a 58 Bonneville convertible and a 53 Buick Skylark. Yes he loves convertibles. We belong to Classic Glass Corvette here in Atlanta and I'm in charge of membership. Check it out at www.cgcorvetteclub.com. I also belong to American Sewing Guild Atlanta chapter where I hold the office of treasurer. with all this going on I still find a little time to sew.
