Hi, I purchased this software several years ago, and I'm ashamed to say I never used it. You have given me the inspiration to sit down and print out a pattern. I think I will start with a pair of pants first and see how that works. I'm…

Blondell replied to the discussion 'Thread?' in the group Stitch & Bitch
I use Mettler polyester thread. It works great in all machines and is thin yet very strong. My test of strength is can I break the thread easily using my hand.

Intro to Fashion Illustration - Class 3

Posted on August 9, 2009 at 10:08pm 0 Comments

Thursday was the 3rd session of Intro to Fashion Illustration. That Thursday, we would all get what we've been anxiously waiting for......to sketch clothing. Our first assignment would be to sketch a green blouse. Our instructor, Allyn demonstrated sketching the blouse. We followed with our interpretation. The class was in awe. All our sketches were different in style, yet each could be easily identified as the green blouse. The instructor assured us… Continue

SWAP (Sewing with a Plan)

Posted on August 1, 2009 at 8:02pm 6 Comments

For those of you who aren't familiar with a SWAP. The first time I heard of this was in Australian Stitiches Magazine.

Everything else is the wrong style or color or we just don't like it anymore. (We won't even… Continue

Thanks for your nice comment Blondell. What you have offered the people in your community is a great idea! I'm not much of a "fashion person" but really admire you gals who are so creative. Used to be a quilter, but now the dolls have taken over....... I see that you are a dog lover too. We just "rescued" a Doxie/Ausstralian Cattle Dog mix. How's that for a combination?!

Hi Blondell:
Do you mean you're moving here, and if so when? All the good fabric stores are in Miami, except for Cynthia's, S&S and another one that I cannot remember the name of, here in Broward county. Stay in touch.
