Cafe Handmade is a Virtual Craft Show. We have featured artists, featured items, giveaways, reviews, and more. We started this little project because we love all things handmade and want to promote buying handmade. Buying handmade, from independent crafters and artists allow those wonderfully creative people to make a living doing what they were born to do, create! Handmade items are unique, of great quality, and you receive excellent customer service because you are buying directly from the designer rather than a great big corporation which builds a personal relationship between the designer and the consumer. In the process of starting this site I have met so many wonderful people and have built relationships that will last a lifetime.

When we started Cafe Handmade we wanted a place where crafters and artists could show off their creations. Since I was a child I have been attending local crafts shows with my mother as a vendor and as a consumer. I have always wanted to produce a craft show so my husband and I sat down to, as Winnie-the-Pooh would say, "Think, Think, Think", then the light bulb came on... What if we started a Virtual Craft Show? We wanted the site to mimic, as closely as possible, a traditional craft show, where you stroll along looking a different booths, chatting with artists, seeing artist demonstrations, etc, so we incorporated that in our site with our Featured Artist Interviews, Artist Demonstration Videos, and, of course, the Virtual Craft Show.
