"Thanks Brenda, that is great advice. The dress is done except for the hemming and the tie."

"What kind of fabric is the wedding dress made of? I would make it double-sided. I would sew it with right-sides together and then turn it, making crisp corners. How elegant it sounds."

bow pattern

I am making/designing my daughters wedding dress, and we think we want a big yellow bow tied in the back with the ends of the bow getting wider at the bottom and going all the way to the hem. Any suggestions? Should I double the fabric, or use a handkerchief hem? I am going to make a "dummy" one first, just to see how much fabric I need to buy. I always make a muslin first so that all the fitting is done before i cut into the expensive fabric. Any suggestions would be very helpful. CarlaL
