I noticed that you had posted a question on the chat line asking for ideas that you could do with you 11 year old daughter. My idea is to make a simple apron. There are many styles out there. You could even do matching other/daughter aprons. Good…

Another idea for the vinyl is to use a clear shower curtain. They come in different thicknesses. I use one on my dining room table.

Thanks Brenda, that is great advice. The dress is done except for the hemming and the tie.

What kind of fabric is the wedding dress made of? I would make it double-sided. I would sew it with right-sides together and then turn it, making crisp corners. How elegant it sounds.

bow pattern

I am making/designing my daughters wedding dress, and we think we want a big yellow bow tied in the back with the ends of the bow getting wider at the bottom and going all the way to the hem. Any suggestions? Should I double the fabric, or use a handkerchief hem? I am going to make a "dummy" one first, just to see how much fabric I need to buy. I always make a muslin first so that all the fitting is done before i cut into the expensive fabric. Any suggestions would be very helpful. CarlaL
