The great thing about recycled and refashioned clothing is the way that old clothes, styles and fabrics inspire the designers to create something gorgeous and new.
Hi! I have a question. When making hats, how do you determine what kind of interfacing to use? For example, thickness, degree of stiffness? I don't want the brims to be too stiff or too limp. I hope somebody knows the answer to this. Thanks.
Hi Carol, I know what you mean about the fabric shops closing. The only one I could shop was our local Walmart and now we don't even have that. I do most of my fabric shopping on Ebay or online fabric stores. That's where I usually get my notions as well. Other than that, the closest fabric shop is 65 miles one way. I have had problems with depression myself and sewing was always an outlet for me. If things are worrying me; I can usually work on a project and it really helps to relieve my stress. I am usually sewing for one of my grandchildren and that is always a challenge when it is one of the older ones. I guess I'm just not into the styles now days. I've bent your ear enough for now. I hope that you don't mind that I've responded to you comments.
