I also just recently started with another non-profit organization called Bags Not Rags. We collect luggage, backpack, tote bags and duffel bags and give them to children in Foster Care. I orchestrated making Helping Hands the first official drop off location for Bags Not Rags in WV. My goal is to not only collect bags, but to get area states on board with the project. Then of course I'm a volunteer at schol and on the PTO and needless to say, I'm stinkin' busy all the time. They say busy people make the best volunteers. I guess I could be considered one of the best! :D Oh and I'm taking American Sign Language class. Our State deaf & blind school is in our town. So I like being able to communicate with the deaf community.

My husband works for a defense contractor. It's very stressful and I wish he could find something else, but we are just grateful that he's employeed. We know so many that are not. We count our blessings.

I love to sew and paint, but rarely find time to do either one (as you can tell from the previous paragraphs). I, too, have lots of fabric and in fact, bought more today......I'm crazy....I'm also not telling my husband ! :D I'm hoping to begin my Christmas sewing projects this evening, barring everyone's schedule demands.

I'd love to see your pattern collection. I don't buy a lot of patterns. I usually just look up tutorials online or create myself. I feel better when I create for myself.

You said you were self employed, what do you do? I can't imagine driving the distand your husband does. I fall asleep from here to town sometimes (which is 8 miles). Wow!

This is great, I'm so excited about our new sewing friendship. Now......to the sewing room I go (hopefully).

I have two very active boys....8 & 14. My 14 year old, Adam, keeps us the busiest. He plays sports (basketsball try-outs are tonight) and sings (beautifully I might add). He's always being asked to perform places, so we are always going, going, going. He was asked by our pastor last night to lead praise & worship at our church this Sunday. My husband (JT) and I are very proud of him. You can check him out on youtube (Adam Stinespring). We haven't posted anything since the spring. He's almost ready with a new song though.

I work part-time at my youngest (Daniel) son's school. I'm a Parent Involvement Network Coordinator. I sell Avon (a little). I'm on the board for a non-profit organization called Helping Hands in our county. It's a second-hand store. Everything is less than $5. Most things are usually 10-25 cents. It's great. All the proceeds go to help different projects in our community. We gave over $40,000 last year.
