I am an awesome:
Returning to some sewing after a long break. Let's face it,I just lost the urge after a while. I always liked sewing dolls. I have tried dress construction but was not that good at it. I wanna give it another try. There are only so many dolls you can give away.
My sewing interests are:
garment, doll making
My sewing machine(s):
You are gonna laugh. I have probably the only Dial-N-Sew here. My husband got me a new singer for Christmas. It was the worst thing I ever worked with. Crafts are usually heavy pieces and I broke that machine in 2 weeks. Back to the store for that and back to old faithful. I ran across this site looking for sewing machine reviews, so I thought I'd join up to learn something.
I am interested in patterns such as:
Mc Calls butterick, vogue and a lot of doll patterns I have acquired over the years

Kanzashi

Posted on February 27, 2011 at 5:47pm 3 Comments

I was in a quilting shop in my area today. Looking around and they advertise classes. I was looking around and saw a book on Kanzashi. I thought the little flowers were pretty and they were used for bows and pins. I was not about to spend the money on the book though. If anyone is interested or has hear of Kanzashi, I found a link which I am posting for your use.

Ok this little thing started out from a comment between a friend and I about the lilies of the field from Matthew. The lily evolved quite nicely I think

I like to go to Joggles to look at supplies. They had this cute valentine tutorial. So I  will put it out here for anyone interested.

Alright to everyone out there in sewing land.
May your house be as full of love, as the love you put in the preparation. May your turkey be as stuffed as your belly when you're done. Best wishes to everyone as you share your thanks with loved ones. And then its off to the races towards Christmas. I didnt do any thanksgiving projects as I have enough Christmas projects in hand. Blessings to all.

Cora, welcome. I am a newcomer myself trying to figure out how to get around in cyberspace! Thanks so very much for the info you sent on zipper construction. Not only did I look at the site you suggested, but some of the others that came up with it as well. There are as many ways to put in a zipper as there are people to put it in! I actually took part of one video and part on another to find my perfect fit. Love your dolls.
