Profile Information

About Me:: Watched my mom sew since I was little. She was self-taught and could sew anything. She sewed for me through my teens. She learned how to tailor and would let me prep, pin and cut patterns.

Myself, I make Ancient Egyptian costumes, very simple stuff, cloaks, skirts and tunics. I was talked into getting a serger along with my sewing machine. I've serged some napkings and a table cloth.

My self, I want to learn how to better fit, sew and wear shirts, jackets, pants and coats for myself. And, do some sewing for my apartment.

What type of sewing do you enjoy?: garment, drapery, home decor

What type(s) of sewing machine(s) do you have?: I have a Pfaff Stretch n' Jeans machine. I have a Brother serger, which I have not used very much at all, but would like to become more comfortable with.

What brands of patterns have you tried?: I know this sounds silly, but I think I would actually do better at making my own patterns. I know that preprinted patterns confuse me, with sizing and ease. I've gotten frustrated with them.
