- Hi Fatma, Welcome, there are a lot of women here that can help you as you learn to sew. Do you have a sewing machine? What do you want to learn first? You should pick something simple to start with, maybe a tote bag or tablecloth or something like that, so you can get used to using the machine and practice sewing straight seams. Let us know what you need to know and I'm sure you will get lots of help.

This video demonstrates how to fix / adjust / repair the timing of the hook on a sewing machine. If the thread from your needle isn't getting caught by the hook that rotates around, this video explains what to adjust to fix that. Requires some very basic tools and takes 15-30 minutes - maybe less.
