Wow, organize, organize. organized.....you're quite the organizer Miss Helen. Good for you! I too have plastic bins, and they are organized by color. It makes it so much easier to find what you need without a lot of effort. I'm impressed!

Patterns:I bought a cheap 4 drawer plastic cabinet from WalMart and laid my patterns down flat - they are sorted of what they are, grandkids clothing, quilts, vests & jackets, wall hangings, table runners etc....Fabric: Use Walmart's smaller bins to contain fabric less then 1 yard long.Fabric: Use flat folds to organize the 1 yard to "whatever" yard length I have of fabric - those are organized by color. I'm a senior citizen that started quilting about 9 years ago and I can't stop!!! Just love everything about it and always after unusual patterns. I am happiest when I can piece a top and then work hand applique on it.
