Hi Andrea and Happy Birthday! I have a Babylock serger and love it. The most important thing is buy it from a dealer. When, or if, you have a problem, they will be there for you.Good luck!!

Ottlite worth it?

I use them and like them a lot. I wouldn't say that it makes you see better. It is a clear, white light that is easy on the eyes.Fabric colors are clear & true, like daylight in the window.
I do agree with HeyJudee also, now you can buy the energy saver bulbs [ they have the day light type also], it's cheaper with the same clear light.
There is a daylite company that sells the same freestanding lamps and they cost a lot less.
